Job Description
At Alabama Goodwill Industries our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.
A Goodwill GGC Sales Floor Team Member assists the store manager with the day-to-day operations production and other needed performance to meet or exceed budget while in compliance with company standards policies and procedures. The position involves walking bending and stretching as well as lifting and moving donations and retail fixtures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Good work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Able to maintain good relationships with co-workers
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year in a retail environment preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to lift and carry objects. Ability to use repetitive hand movement when buttoning sorting hanging and zipping garments. Ability to engage in prolonged standing walking and frequent bending stooping and stretching
