Job Description
Location: Two Positions: (1) Mobile and (1) Daphne
Schedule: Monday Friday 6:30 AM 3:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview:
We are a Fortune 500 healthcare organization seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven medical data entry clerk to support critical data processing and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable professional with strong computer skills and a passion for healthcare. The position is on-site and offers full-time hours with potential for permanent hire based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update patient data and authorization details into internal systems and medical databases
Process and manage electronic records related to member care prior authorizations and claims
Cross-check and validate data for accuracy and completeness
Communicate with internal teams regarding missing or unclear information
Handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Support operational and clerical tasks using Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word
Qualifications:
Typing speed of 50 WPM with a high level of accuracy
Familiarity with medical terminology is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word)
Prior experience in medical data entry claims processing or administrative healthcare support is highly preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
