Position: Instrumental Music Instructor

Program/Department: Regional Center for the Arts

Position Length: 10 Months following the 2025-2026 School Year

Salary Range: $52.39 per hour (16 hours per week)

Anticipated Start Date: August 21 2025

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in subject or significant professional experience. Certification is not required.

Responsibilities:RCA is a part time inter-district magnet high school committed to bring together people ofdiverse cultural heritage to develop in all students the knowledge skills attitudes and self-discipline to
reach their fullest artistic potential to live a productive life and to contribute to society as creative engaged citizens. Plan instruction and teach assigned classes create and administer assessments maintain accurate records of student attendance and achievement collaborate with other members of the RCA faculty attend staff meetings communicate with parents and other assigned duties. We are particularly interested in finding someone who can teach music theory at a high level coupled with the ability to teach an ensemble of instrumentalists and successful candidate will teach a variety of music classes to motivated high school students. Professional playing experience and success in teaching high school students are highly desirable. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 12:45pm - 4:45 pm (late August through very early June). For more information about the position please contact Eric Nyquist at
