Job Description Summary
Responsible for the conception needs assessment development delivery management and evaluation of WDCE programs ensuring alignment with the mission of lifelong learning and community engagement. This includes overseeing open enrollment courses developing innovative learning opportunities tailored to diverse needs and implementing effective marketing strategies to expand program reach and impact. Additionally responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships with businesses (e.g. senior centers residences and community centers) government agencies (e.g. Prince Georges County agencies Maryland Higher Education Commission) and professional associations (e.g. LERN American Society on Aging) to enhance educational access for older adults. Duties may also involve managing committees contracts conferences and grants to support program growth and sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates degree in Education Adult Learning Business Administration or a related field required. Minimum of four years of professional experience in program management education or workforce development. Experience in developing coordinating and marketing educational programs for older adults (60) including lifelong learning personal enrichment and skill-building courses preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
