Qualifications:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each responsibility and its associated duty satisfactory. The qualification requirements listed are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required.
- Provide direct individual/small group/ within inclusion class occupational therapy services to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required by each IEP
- Administers diagnostic screenings observations and assessments and interpret data to determine qualification for services
- Participate in developing and implementing IEPs through effective collaboration with the student family and staff
- Routinely monitor student progress revise supports and assist in the implementation of accommodations
- Make clinical decisions for goal developing frequency and duration of services and recommend dismissal from services as appropriate
- Provide recommendations and resources for other staff on topics related tooccupational therapy
- Must be able to provide own transportation between sites as needed for caseload
Position Goal: To actively participate in the development and implementation of an effective occupational therapy service program that provides for collaboration with staff and families to address disorders that interfere with ability to access the educational program.
Licensure: Masters Degree including completed clinical practicum from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy All New Mexico and New Mexico Public Education Department licenses applicable to assignment ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description.
