As a Market Risk - European Gas Power & Emissions- Senior Associate/ Vice President in the Market Risk team you will focus on European Gas Power & Emissions. You will lead our growth into physical markets working closely with various stakeholders to manage and mitigate market risks. Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze market risk exposures related to European Gas Power & Emissions.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to support expansion into physical markets.
Collaborate with trading finance and operations teams for comprehensive risk assessment and management.
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Prepare and present risk reports to senior management providing insights and recommendations.
Stay abreast of market trends regulatory changes and industry developments affecting European energy markets.
Support the development and enhancement of risk management tools and systems.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
Bachelors Degree in a quantitative discipline.
Proven experience in market risk management within the energy sector.
Strong understanding of European Gas Power & Emissions markets.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Knowledge of Market Risk practices such as stress testing scenario analysis VaR risk sensitivities limits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive growth initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
Experience with risk management tools and systems.
Familiarity with regulatory changes affecting European energy markets.
Ability to present complex information clearly to senior management.
