Job Title: IT Help Desk Technician
Department: Technology
Direct Report: Director of IT
Position Type: Non-Exempt
Purpose of Position: To assist in and provide technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. As the first point of contact solve basic technical problems and provide support for all assigned areas. Ensure that end-user value is maintained to the standards set forth by SKRECC. To assist in maintaining a productive dependable and secure network environment.
Minimum Job Specifications
- Associates degree in information technology or technical certification(s) (CompTIA A or equivalent) is required.
- Two (2) years of technical (IT support/help desk) experience preferred.
- Exhibit problem solving and troubleshooting skills while demonstrating knowledge of networking principles related to hardware and software.
- Exhibit technical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Server products while demonstrating the ability to install common network hardware and media.
- Ability to work in an agile manner while demonstrating effective time management skills; adjusting as deemed necessary to concentrate efforts on the more important priorities to meet the needs of the organization.
- Ability to operate successfully in a regulated environment with an understanding and appreciation of risk compliance corporate policy and procedures internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient critical thinking skills able to identify and solve technical problems while demonstrating the ability to learn on the fly a versatile learner.
- Proficient collaboration skills able to collaborate effectively across the organization demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Requires the ability to actively engage and comply with all safety programs and initiatives; to include the ability to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen and maintain a valid drivers license.
