The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on designing with the latest technology and tools and we integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

TEE products are located in engineering labs in the field and in production environments. Our Engineers engage in weapon system product verification qualification test data analysis and production test solution development. TEE has job responsibilities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle including demonstrations early engineering tests design verification tests production and sustainment.

This position is 100% onsite in Tucson Arizona

What You will Do

Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) is looking forMechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing developing documenting and maintaining complex test environment systems for all proprietary projects within the Raytheon effector portfolio.

  • Research plan design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration thermal hydraulic radio frequency and electro-optical for production testing environments

  • Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements

  • Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Minimum two (2) years technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support

  • Minimum two (2) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric

  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis

  • Experience creating mechanical drawing packages

  • US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Value

  • Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging

  • Experience with Configuration Management processes application and tools (e.g. Windchill / cPDM)

  • Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging materials thermal analysis structural analysis control systems electrical hardware design or large assembly development

  • Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g. vibration shock thermal etc.)

  • Systems engineering experience

  • Experience with basic management approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing coaching less experienced professionals and process execution

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Tucson AZ: salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
