Position Summary
The Installer Helper assist the Lead Installer with installation of aluminum hand railings and other architectural metal products for residential and commercial construction projects. Our Installers travel to job sites throughout Florida and the southern U.S. This position requires travel overnight Monday through Friday every week.
*** Candidates will be hired on through a temp agency for an initial trial period of 90 working days***
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Installer with the installation of aluminum hand railings guardrails and other architectural metal products.
- Load and unload tools materials and equipment at job sites.
- Measure mark and cut materials accurately under supervision.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Support the team in lifting positioning and securing materials during installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on-site.
- Perform site cleanup after installation is complete.

Qualifications (Knowledge & Skills)
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic drawings or blueprints.
- Basic construction knowledge especially in metal or railing installation.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools including drills grinders levels and saws.
- Ability to work at heights including on ladders or scaffolding.
- Basic math skills for measuring cutting and calculating materials.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers verbally and in writing.
- Able to complete work accurately and on time.
- Able to work collaboratively with direct team members or across departments and work independently as needed.
- Candidates who apply for positions that require driving must have a valid U.S. drivers license and clean driving record. An MVR and proof of insurance will be required as part of the pre-employment background check process.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- 2 years in construction trade preferably with railing installation or glazing.
- Experience using hand tools taking measurements and reading prints is required.
- Welding experience is a plus.
Work Environment
- Physical Conditions:
- Construction: This position requires the ability to work in typical construction work environments and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e.: hard hat eye/face protection hearing protection steel toes etc.
Other Requirements
- Candidates who receive an offer of employment must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- This role must be able to travel Monday through Friday every week and some Saturdays. Hotel accommodations are paid for and Installers receive a per diem for each travel day.
- This role requires driving for the Company so candidates who receive an offer of employment for this role must have a current Florida drivers license and have a clean MVR.
- Must be able to use hands and have finger dexterity
- Must be able to reach bend kneel and crouch occasionally
- Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
Compensation: CSW Industrials has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing salary ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. In addition to base pay employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors. Sales roles are eligible for a sales bonus.
