RBR-Technologies is seeking a Hardware System Engineer with FPGA experience to support one of our customers in Maryland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement FPGA-based digital logic using VHDL or Verilog.
- Develop simulation testbenches and verify designs using ModelSim or equivalent tools.
- Synthesize place & route and generate bitstreams using Xilinx tools (Vivado/ISE).
- Collaborate with systems engineers and software developers to integrate hardware into embedded systems.
- Perform timing analysis resource utilization reviews and constraint optimization.
- Document designs test plans and results in support of project requirements.
- Participate in lab testing debugging and validation of FPGA designs on target hardware.
- Managing system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- TS/SCI with polygraph
- This position can be filled a a level 1 2 or 3 based upon experience. An SE1 requires 7 years of experience; an SE2 requires 14 years; an SE3 requires 20 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering efforts is required
- A bachelors degree in System Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; 5 additional years of experience will be considered in Lieu of Degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with embedded systems microcontrollers or SoC integration.
experience with software programming languages such as C C Java or Ruby on Rails.
Comfortable working in Unix Linux and Windows environments.
Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g. Python Tcl).
Understanding of high-speed digital design interfaces (e.g. SPI I2C PCIe) and signal integrity.
