This is a design supervisory position that requires administrative and technical management of the HSE OCE/OME/F119/MilDemo design team under the guidance of an M6 design manager.

The successful candidate will report to the group M6 manager and have responsibility for a subset of the groups activity including overseeing design activities across all HSE modules (combustor turbine TEC/Exhaust/Nozzle) and representing design on the CIPT leadership teams. Chosen associate must have exceptional people and problem-solving skills and will be able to step in for the manager when he/she is absent or unavailable.

What You Will Do:

Assist M6 manager in organizing and managing task assignments & planning manpower requirements and coordinating and overseeing in-house and outsource resources.

Provide performance feedback and results for the group. Coach train and develop design engineering team.

Guide IPTs through PCIR EC process chair design reviews ensure team executes proper documentation

Participate on field and production investigation teams while also providing quick turnaround to customer and vendor questions to keep the fleet flying

Ability to juggle and seamlessly transition between many tasks on a daily basis required for success

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required
  • 8 years engineering experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Experience with military nozzles and exhaust systems

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD - 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
