The Plant Manager position is accountable for providing managerial leadership and direction to the Site maximizing capital and human resource also attaining production objectives of acceptable quality within established cost parameters as well as customer goals in a rewarding safe and secure climate for employees and community.

The position is also accountable for management of the people materials and assets of the Site for the purpose of producing assigned products according to the production plan and customer requirements while meeting Management Objectives of quality service safety cost output productivity yield and raw material control.



Responsibilities
  • Enforce safe systems of work and hold managers accountable for health and safety performance.
  • Provide a safe working environment equipment and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure all employees and contractors are adequately informed trained and supervised for their roles.
  • Drive a zero-injury culture through proactive safety initiatives incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Foster high morale quality and service in a fast-paced production environment while planning for growth.
  • Develop and implement site operating plans aligned with strategic goals and approved by senior leadership.
  • Coordinate across departments to unify efforts and build a strong team-oriented culture.
  • Regularly review workflows to enhance efficiency reduce costs and strengthen team dynamics.
  • Stay informed on relevant regulations and corporate policies ensuring full compliance across operations.
  • Ensure timely in-full delivery of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Build a high-performing team culture focused on innovation coaching and operational excellence.


Qualifications
  • Good standard of education (Degree Level)

  • Managerial experience in FMCG and batch process environment (supervisory / management qualification preferred)

  • Experience of working to ISO9001 and IS04002

  • Knowledge and experience of TQM JIT and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

  • Experience of the workings of plant and equipment (Chemical Plant preferred)

  • Experience of motivating others an effective communicator and approachable demeanor

  • Understanding of business systems and how to analyze to improve the performance of the system/site.

  • Advanced PC skills essential - Excellent excel skills
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness essential.
  • English min. B2 level
