Yard Operative / General Site Assistant
Brixworth Northamptonshire
13.00 per hour
Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
ACS Staffing Solutions are looking for a reliable and proactive person to join our clients team as a Yard Operative / General Site Assistant in Brixworth. This is a hands-on varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of the site including machinery handling site maintenance and logistics support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and wider site areas
- Load and unload machinery from lorries and trailers safely
- Clean and paint machinery to a high standard
- Accurately complete administration for all inbound and outbound deliveries
- Assist engineers with tasks and general support
- Carry out basic building maintenance as required
- Refuel and defuel machinery in line with safety procedures
- Deliver and collect machinery parts and items locally
- Report hazards near misses and incidents in accordance with company policy
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager
Requirements:
- Full clean UK driving licence (Essential)
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (Desirable)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail particularly with documentation
- Reliable punctual and willing to work in all weather conditions
