Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group is a physician-led medical group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will manage complex GI hepatobiliary and nutritional disorders in childrenfrom infancy through adolescenceacross inpatient outpatient and procedural settings
Qualifications
The qualifications and details of the position include:
MD or DO with completion of an accredited Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatrics.
Eligible for/holds an active Florida medical license.
Proficient in pediatric endoscopy and procedural care.
Experience with IBD hepatology nutritional rehab/motility preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to counsel children and families .
Able to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical and academic environment.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric GI conditions including IBS IBD celiac disease reflux hepatology nutritional disorders and motility issues.
Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures: upper/lower GI endoscopy polypectomy foreign body removal liver biopsies Gtube placements motility studies.
Provide comprehensive inpatient consultation and manage ambulatory clinics in both main and satellite locations.
Collaborate with dietitians surgeons psychologists hepatologists primary care providers and allied health professionals.
Engage in educationmentoring pediatric residents.
Provide on-call coverage 1:3 for emergencies including foreign body ingestion GI bleeding and liver crises.
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with documentation billing and regulatory standards.

Position requires: Board Certification or Eligibility by the ABIM in Gastroenterology.
