The Specialized Paraeducator/LNA provides direct individualized support to a student with significant medical physical and intellectual disabilities. This includes assistance with communication mobility feeding via G-tube hygiene classroom participation and personal care in a safe respectful and inclusive manner. This position is essential in helping the student access their educational program and maintain dignity and comfort throughout the school :Required:Current NH Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) school diploma or working with children or youth with significant :Prior experience with G-tube care and complex medical needs in a school or pediatric with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).CPI CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if needed).Key Responsibilities:Medical Support:Administer G-tube feedings and monitor for medical concerns under the direction of the school nurse and/or medical and document implementation of any physician-directed health care students physical condition and respond appropriately to medical needs or Care Assistance:Assist with toileting diapering changing and hygiene safe transfers and mobility including use of lifts or mobility cleanliness and organization of medical/personal care and Behavioral Support:Support the student in participating in classroom activities therapy sessions and school augmentative communication tools and strategies to support non-verbal IEP accommodations behavior support plans and data collection social interactions and inclusive participation with and Documentation:Collaborate with special education teachers therapists school nurse and related service accurate records of services communication logs and data training and team meetings as required.
