About the role:
At Maersk we are dedicated to decarbonizing our customers supply chains as a global leader in container logistics. To further our efforts in reducing emissions within our operations we are seeking an Advanced Analytics Specialist. This role will involve close collaboration with teams across Maersk to ensure compliance reporting and emission optimization in compliance with both local and global regulations applicable to regulatory and voluntary markets.

You can keep the high-level perspective in mind in a challenging situation and consider the long-term impact of a given decision. You have good communication and presentation skills in English.
Experience: 4 to 6 Years - Relevant experience
Location: Mumbai
Power BI:
Advanced level
Should be able to develop dashboards
Able to build complex custom dashboards
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Hands-on experience in SQL or Python or R (flexible on the language/tool logic is key)
Exposure to maritime or transportation/supply chain domain
Past projects involving compliance cost optimization or sustainability/environmental regulations
Educational background in maritime engineering or supply chain/logistics
Experience with machine learning model application (not building just using available models inside tools like Power BI)
Should be able to challenge the status quo
Critical thinker not afraid to question why are we doing it this way
Proactive and not just an executor
You have:
Relevant data analytics experience in Maritime or logistics with an educational background in Maritime Supply Chain Management or Sustainability/Environmental Science.
Proficiency in Power BI at intermediate to advanced levels.
Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail ability to research and resolve complex issues using latest analytical tools.
Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts to internal / external stakeholders.
Experience in evaluating and applying the Machine Learning models to solve the problem will be an added advantage
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment.
Passion to make a difference in the field of climate change and sustainability
You will:
Drive or act in key roles in complex cross functional projects related to building a strong emissions data foundation in collaboration with our product delivery platform teams.
Review and use analytical calculations on reported energy performance data particularly for compliance and customer reporting to determine the accurate emissions performance of business units within Maersk.
Provide key stakeholders across Maersk with fact-based analytical insights and actionable recommendations to improve emissions performance.
Solve complex problems independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
Use domain knowledge and analytics to create innovative products for reducing emissions and optimizing fuel in Maersk operations.
