About the role
Contract: 9 Months Fixed Term to cover Maternity leave
Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week 0.8 FTE
Were looking for a compassionate motivated and well-organised Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our Learning and Organisational Development Team. In this fixed-term role youll play a key part in helping ensure the smooth running of our health and wellbeing services. The health and wellbeing service is a critical part of day-to-day workforce support ensuring all staff and volunteers are supported with efficient compassionate and well-timed advice and support to help ensure they have everything they need to deliver outstanding care and services to our patients supporters and service users. Youll be part of a team that values communication mutual support and a shared commitment to Ashgate Hospices purpose: to provide educate and campaign for excellent palliative and end-of-life care and bereavement support.

You will join an enthusiastic team committed to mutual support with clear goals. The People and Culture team are focused on providing comprehensive support and resources for the workforce including learning and organisational development. The team works hard to demonstrate the hospice values and the objectives of the people strategy; We will continue to develop our clinical expertise. We will ensure we have a skilled and supported workforce enabled by technology. We will foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Build collaborative relationships and partnerships both internally and externally to deliver the wellbeing offer.
Share expert knowledge in the practice of workforce wellbeing and resilience.
Champion flexible working and life balance challenging thinking and attitudes to create a progressive high trust and high support environment.
Learn from the wellbeing needs of our staff and volunteers leading on the design delivery and evaluation of wellbeing interventions for our people.
Lead on key delivery areas as part of the People & Culture delivery plan shaping policy and practice.

About Ashgate:
Ashgate Hospice based in North Derbyshire offers free palliative and end of life care for adults with life-limiting or incurable illnesses including cancer neurological diseases and advanced heart kidney and lung conditions. Last year we cared for over 2400 people. Our aim is to support our patients by keeping them informed managing their symptoms and improving their quality of life from diagnosis onwards.
We also provide vital support to the people who are important to them offering practical assistance and emotional support including bereavement services.
