The Early Interventionist programat Emory Valley Center in Oak Ridge TN provides developmental support for infants and toddlers (birth to age three) through the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). Serving families in Anderson and surrounding counties trained specialists work with children in their homes or community settings using evidence-based strategies like Family Guided Routines-Based Intervention. The program emphasizes coaching parents and caregivers to support their childs development in everyday routines focusing on areas such as language motor and social-emotional skills. Services are individualized through IFSPs with regular visits progress monitoring and coordination with other providers. The ultimate goal is to help children reach their full potential and reduce the need for future special education services.

As an Early Interventionist you would be providing developmental support to infants and toddlers by working directly with families in home and community settings. Your primary role involves coaching parents and caregivers to integrate evidence-based strategies into everyday routines to support the childs growth in areas such as communication motor skills cognition and social-emotional development. Youd be conducting developmental assessments creating and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and monitor each childs progress toward developmental goals. In addition to offering ongoing education and resources to families they travel regularly to homes childcare centers and other natural environments to deliver services tailored to each childs unique needs.
