Job Description

The Biotherapies Sales and Business Development Associate at the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB) is responsible for administrative inside sales activity to drive revenue growth through the sale and promotion of AABBs blood and biotherapies products and services. This role focuses on advancing the blood cell gene and cell therapy and regenerative medicine fields by developing new prospects retaining existing clients and supporting strategic marketing and sales initiatives including CRM development and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement determined growth strategies to develop the sales pipeline and customer retention for AABBs Corporate Membership program and other programs as developed.
  • Manage CRM database group outreach lead generation and invoice auditing and tracking.
  • Conduct outreach communication to targeted leads schedule sales and quarterly strategy meetings.
  • Evaluate potential targets and manage the cross-functional team process including collaboration with relevant stakeholders from an inside sales perspective.
  • Analyze and evaluate new business opportunities to optimize AABBs product and service offerings and develop sales funnel.
  • Promote new AABB initiatives through special events solicitations and networking with key decision-makers and opinion leaders.
  • Manage and report on the sales pipeline and closures driving opportunities through various stages of the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective messaging and programs leveraging subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Engage with senior management to identify and develop products and services that enhance membership value.
  • Execute strategic partnerships with external organizations to expand AABBs service portfolio for industry firms and companies.
  • Provide regular feedback to senior management on market conditions and potential business opportunities.
  • Align inside sales responsibilities with strategic initiatives on an annual basis.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a life sciences field strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in biotherapies and at least three years in a sales or business development role with inside sales experience.
  • Strong scientific background with deep knowledge of industry trends.
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software business productivity tools and analytics platforms ideally Hubspot.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead sales projects to completion manage resources effectively and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to foster teamwork cooperation and open communication.

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Primarily day-shift hours with flexibility for off-hour assignments.
  • Ability to sit for long periods throughout the day.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally sometimes on short notice up to 30% of the time.
  • Attendance at AABBs Annual Meeting is required.


For this role the anticipated hiring base compensation range is $43.58 - $48.72 USD per hour.

While this is a remote role we are only hiring in select US states where we currently operate. This helps us keep compliance and operations efficient. We can consider candidates living in: AZ CO DC FL GA IL IN KY MD MI MN MO NJ NY NC PA RI SC TN TX UT VA WA WV WI.
