As a Trusts & Foundations Associate you will:
- Support the management of major gift donor portfolios by conducting market research identifying funding opportunities and contributing to coordinated donor strategies across Deakin.
- Build strong relationships with academic and professional staff to develop compelling high-quality funding applications that reflect Deakins community impact.
- Maintain accurate donor engagement data in the CRM and ensure alignment with Deakins philanthropic policies and strategic objectives.
- Represent Advancement at internal and external events while demonstrating leadership through awareness of best practice and emerging trends in philanthropy.
- Apply analytical thinking and creative problem-solving to improve fundraising processes and outcomes including across scholarships awards and other initiatives.
As a Trusts and Foundations Coordinator you will:
- Proactively manage a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations developing strong relationships and identifying new funding opportunities to support Deakins philanthropic goals.
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to shape compelling proposals ensuring high-quality funding applications that align with donor interests.
- Meet annual performance targets by consulting with stakeholders tracking donor engagement and contributing to income growth and pipeline development.
- Foster collaboration across the University building productive relationships to align philanthropic initiatives with Deakins strategic objectives.
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM database coordinate donor engagement efforts and represent Advancement at internal and external events.
To be successful as Trusts and Foundations Associate youll have:
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in a technical administrative or philanthropic setting.
- A strong track record of achieving ambitious financial targets ideally at the 6-figure level in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to develop compelling pitches proposals and funding applications for Trusts and Foundations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience leading purposeful outcome-driven conversations.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
To be successful as Trusts and Foundations Coordinator youll have:
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in fundraising philanthropy or a related field.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious financial targets ideally in a philanthropic environment at the 6-figure level.
- Strong experience developing compelling proposals pitches and funding applications for Trusts and Foundations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to drive purposeful outcome-focused conversations.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analysis to inform and optimise fundraising strategies; knowledge of the Australian philanthropic sector is desirable.
