Job Description
We are hiring a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our mobile care team serving patients in home and facility settings throughout Maine. This position is ideal for an experienced and compassionate clinician who values independence patient connection and quality outcomes in wound care.
The NP will be responsible for assessing treating and managing a variety of complex wounds coordinating with facility staff and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up care. Travel is required throughout the region and a reliable vehicle is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide wound care services to patients in various healthcare settings
- Perform wound assessments and develop treatment plans
- Debride wounds apply advanced dressings and monitor healing progress
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound management
- Document care in EMR and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (Maine or compact state)
- Wound care certification preferred (WCC CWCN or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience ideally in wound care or geriatrics
- Strong communication clinical judgment and time management skills
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
