Position at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT
Norwalk Hospital affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk CT. We are located in suburban Fairfield County just 50 miles outside of New York City along the Connecticut shoreline. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in busy hospital in a family friendly location with close proximity to NYC. Variable shifts from 10 AM 10 PM. Duties will include admitting rounding discharges and working with the physicians. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside the Physicians in Hospitalist Medicine.

Norwalk Hospital a Level II Trauma Center is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack. Established in 1893 Norwalk Hospital is a 366 bed not-for-profit community hospital providing Fairfield and Westchester County residents convenient access to exceptional care close to home. As a teaching hospital we are associated with University of Vermont Larner School of Medicine Yale University Ross University American University of the Caribbean Sacred Heart University UConn Quinnipiac andWestern Connecticut State University among others.
Astride a hill with a commanding view of the Long Island Sound Norwalk Hospital serves a varied and attractive region of Southern Connecticut. The hospital is just minutes from beautiful places to hike swim sail or walk along the beach. Connecticut Magazine recently named South Norwalk as the hottest nightspot between Boston and New York City with a plethora of theater groups and restaurants to choose from. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a physician provides primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school CT State PA license DEA/State of CT controlled substance and certification by the National Commission on the certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or a minimum formal education or masters degree NP State of CT RN and APRN license CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration and Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- ACLS & BLS certification.
- Must maintain 50 CMEs over two years.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Two years prior Hospitalist or Internal Medicine experience preferred. New grads with Internal Medicine rotations will be consdiered.
- Willing to work variable shifts from 10 AM 10 PM including 4-5 holidays per year and 22 weekends per year.

Salary Range: $115 - $140k annually commensurate or relative to experience.
