Salary:20.51 - 24.72 per hour plus holiday pay (dependant on skills qualifications and experience)

Lecturer in Horticulture The Role:

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable horticulture professional to join our team as aVariable Hours Lecturer. Whether you have experience in education or are an industry expert looking to take your first steps into teaching this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of horticulturists.


As a Lecturer in Horticulture you will deliver high-quality practical and theory-based teaching to learners at different stages of their education. You will contribute to the development of a curriculum that reflects current industry standards and supports learners in achieving their goals.

Lecturer in Horticulture-Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and Educate: Share your knowledge and insights with our eager students.
  • Engage and Motivate: Deliver engaging and relevant teaching learning and assessment experiences.
  • Innovate: Develop creative schemes of work and lesson plans that captivate and educate.
  • Support: Provide guidance and support to students helping them achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate: Work with industry partners to enhance our curriculum and offer valuable work placement opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the Horticulture industry.

Lecturer in Horticulture You:

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Industry Expertise: Substantial professional experience in horticulture landscaping garden design or a related field.
  • Passion for Teaching: A strong desire to share your expertise and help others succeed.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Further Education Experience: Experience in Further Education is desirable but not essential.
