Peripatetic Care Home Manager

Salary: 45000 - 55000

Are you an experienced and compassionate leader looking for an opportunity to positively impact the lives of residents and staff in a care home setting Our client a well-respected care home provider is looking for a Peripatetic Care Home Manager to support multiple nursing and residential care homes stepping in when a registered manager is absent. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a dynamic role where no two days are the same and your leadership will truly make a difference.

As a Peripatetic Care Home Manager you will oversee the efficient and professional operation of care homes across the organisation. You will step in to manage homes when a vacancy arises or when a registered manager is on leave ensuring high standards of care and governance. Your primary focus will be on promoting person-centred care ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a positive inclusive culture for both residents and staff.

What Were Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Nursing qualification and a valid NMC Pin
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing nursing or residential care homes ideally in an older peoples and dementia care setting with a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape (CQC safeguarding etc.).
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire teams delegate effectively and manage multiple tasks across different locations.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Passion for delivering high-quality personalised care to residents and a commitment to promoting their health and well-being.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with staff residents families and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Take overall responsibility for staffing delegating tasks and ensuring safe and competent leadership within the home. Manage and monitor staffing structures rota schedules and ensure they align with residents needs and budgetary guidelines.
  • Care Delivery: Lead care interventions and ensure high-quality person-centred care planning for residents. Ensure care standards are maintained and residents health and well-being are promoted.
  • Staff Support and Development: Provide strong supportive leadership to staff promoting professional development supervision and continuous learning. Ensure staff are compliant with policies and deliver care in line with company standards.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that the home operates within regulatory frameworks including health and safety safeguarding and CQC requirements. Manage notifications to regulators and ensure accurate documentation and reports.
  • Culture and Values: Foster a positive open culture where residents and staff feel valued and heard. Promote diversity inclusion and anti-discrimination practices. Support the development of a homely and caring environment.
