Job Description

OPPORTUNITY
The selected candidate for this position will be an integral member of the Counseling and College Persistence Team supporting the organizations expansion of Dual Enrollment programs College and Career Access Pathways and Career Technical Education with a focus on implementing the Golden State Pathways grant.

This in-person/school site Central Office position will require travel between schools and the Central Office. The College & Career Access Pathways Advisor works year-round and is a grant-funded position ending on June 30 2029.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with the Counseling and College Persistence team:
Promote equitable access to college and Career Access pathways courses for all students
Ensure and support students with Disabilities have applied and access accommodations in their dual enrollment courses
Provide training and support to school staff to support Dual Enrollment student access and success with emphasis on Golden State Pathways grant outcomes
Collaborate with community college and university partners to implement initiatives that promote and enhance postsecondary and career access and success students
Progress Monitor student progress in dual enrollment pathways
Prepare and submit reports as needed to meet reporting requirements and other programmatic needs
Track and share outcomes for students participating in activities related to Golden State Pathways grant programming
Maintain fall and spring semester spreadsheets or other documentation of dual enrollment students and their classes and ensure that classes are entered into PowerSchool.
Collect code and disseminate class rosters for registration of dual enrollment students each semester and initiate drop/add/withdrawal procedures for students. Ensure students are registered in college and university registration systems and in PowerSchool.
Work with college and university liaisons students counselors and parents to help resolve student complaints regarding academic issues in dual enrollment.
Assist in the coordination of the online application process for students and parents as well as assist with the coordination of placement testing in colleges and universities.
Support the College and Career Access Pathways Coordinator school counselors and each college and universitys Office of Admissions and Records to secure outstanding grades incompletes or missing grades for specific students.
Develop appropriate strategies for increasing Dual Enrollment participants by researching best practices
Serve as the point of contact for the dual enrollment program for assigned schools
Participate in professional development and coaching for school teams related to partnership development and success management
Coordinate dual enrollment information sessions and actively participate in school system college opportunities nights and other activities at which dual enrollment can be promoted
Provide clear and consistent communications letters brochures and other marketing materials to promote the dual enrollment program
Develop and implement an orientation program handbook and other resources for students counselors administrators and parents
Participate in Green Dot and individual professional development programs
> Attend and participate in all team meetings and professional development sessions
> Plan and participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with College & Career Access Pathways Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS
As an ideal candidate you:

> have a bachelors degree in any discipline (required)
> have a minimum of two years of successful work experience in delivering educational support services to disadvantaged students (college access program is preferred)
> possess basic knowledge of high school graduation and college entrance requirements
> possess basic knowledge of academic programs including curricula and admissions requirements at higher education institutions
> possess basic knowledge of higher education institutions (UC CSU private colleges community colleges) and the ability to explain procedures to youth parents and school representatives
> have strong organizational analytical interpersonal oral and written communication skills (required)
> are able to organize and plan complex projects and activities
> are able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
> exhibit flexibility and high social-emotional competence
Are able to utilize technology such as Student Information Systems Power School Google platforms Microsoft Office Canva Canvas Zoom Teams
> are able to establish rapport and relationships with high school personnel students families community members university departments and faculty members.
> are dependable humble have a sense of humor and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dots mission and the communities we serve
> will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer

JOB REQUIREMENTS
> Work Hours: This position requires consistent attendance during scheduled hours as flexibility is limited by classroom or operational requirements. > Breaks: Breaks are structured within the workday and must align with operational needs and student care requirements. Extended or frequent breaks may not be feasible in this setting.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $71000 to $75000. Opportunities for salary growth are available over time; however offers near the upper end of the salary range are uncommon. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers.
Note: This is a grant-funded position ending on June 30 2029.
