About the Position:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Election Auditorto join the Division of Election Audits and Training. In this role you will conduct independent audits of Maines election processes including post-election tabulation audits and procedural audits of municipal election officials. This position blends statistical analysis with regulatory evaluation to ensure election integrity transparency and compliance. Youll lead the creation and execution of audit plans evaluate findings and contribute to system improvements that impact democracy in Maine.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field and two (2) years of experience in accounting/auditing OR a six (6) year combination of education training and/or experience at a professional auditing or accounting level OR a 5 year combination of education training and/or experience at a professional auditing or accounting level which includes one year of experience at the Auditor I level.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Please note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions and successful candidates will be required to complete an I-9 form upon hire.
