Key Information:

• Use survey instruments to establish correct grade for construction projects with the ability to read plans.
• Must be willing to learn take direction and communicate well with all operators.
• Hours: Project dependent.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• Use survey instruments to establish correct grade for construction projects with the ability to read plans.
• Able to communicate will with all operators.
• Achieve the correct grade by directing operators of equipment to adjust grade by moving earth gravel and other material.
• Be able to identify hazards on site.
• Must be willing and able to learn general construction practices involving road construction.
• Have a understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance and ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• The ability to properly read grade and use a laser level unassisted is required.
• Must be willing to learn and take direction.
• Must be able to communicate well with co-workers.
• A valid drivers license(class 5)along with a drivers abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
• Must be able to work under pressure in some situations.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
• Work overtime as required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
