As a Data Analyst in the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) youll apply your technical and analytical skills to support meaningful programs that serve some of the states most vulnerable populations. Core Responsibilities:

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for compiling cleaning analyzing and maintaining data in multiple information systems utilized by OBH. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

Validating data submitted by providers in preparation for federal reporting
Accepting organizing and completing data requests in compliance with all state and federal data regulations.
Creating and distributing reports to a range of interest holders.
Assist program staff in designing and developing information collection and reporting systems.
Creating accurate and high-quality data visualizations
Collaborate with program staff and grant managers to ensure that data is provided for program planning federal reporting contract monitoring and technical assistance.
Provide training and assistance to program staff and providers on translating their needs into electronic information systems.
The OBH Data Team is a highly collaborative unit that often experiences peak high-paced periods throughout the year. You may also be responsible for assisting the team on other various tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

An eight (8) year combination of education and/or professional experience in social services or program management with experience in the early care and education system and/or childrens mental health system.

Preferred candidates will have:

Experience with complex large-scale relational databases and data systems and advanced statistical software such as RStudio SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Demonstrated data analysis skills including the use of Excel Tableau SQL R and/or other similar programs.
Knowledge of mental health or substance use disorder treatment programs and the types of services available within the State of Maine
Knowledge of applicable federal programs and policies related to mental health and substance use.
Experience in conducting program evaluation
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners.
