Job Description
QTEC Aerospace is seeking multiple DEVOPS ENGINEERS to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicants will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidates will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
- Designs develops documents tests and debugs applications software and systems
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning design and development
- Determines computer user needs
- Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on the program intent output requirements input data acquisition programming techniques and controls
- Prepares operating instructions
- Ensures software standards are met
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 2 years of related experience or a Masters degree
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience developing software using Java and C
- Experience developing software on Linux
- Experience managing source code using Git GitHub or GitLab
- Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle and practical experience in an Agile/Dev*Ops environment
- General understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Must be able to support an in-person closed-area work environment 100% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented.
Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA Confluence and Jenkins
- Programming and scripting experience (C Perl Bash JavaScript Python)
- Experience with unit testing (JUnit) and automated testing
- Experience with Eclipse Ansible
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation / Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Air & Missile Defense Command and Control programs such as IBCS PATRIOT SENTINEL C2BMC or THAAD or any sensor/weapon system
- Security certification
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
