About the position: Shady Hill School is seeking experienced and skilled math tutors to work with students in Lower School (grades pre-K - 4) and/or Middle School (grades 5 - 8) on a contracted hourly basis. We are looking for educators who bring a student-centered developmentally responsive approach to math instruction and can tailor support to individual learning needs. Candidates may work with students in Lower School and/or Middle School depending on experience and availability. This is an hourly part-time position with flexible hours including traditional school hours and after school hours. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Primary Responsibilities: - Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students
- Plan tutoring sessions to meet identified learning objectives based on assessment results and discussions with the students classroom teachers and parents
- Document tutoring session objectives accomplishments and future goals
- Collaborate with Learning Resources team and classroom teachers to identify track and remediate learning weaknesses
- Provide updates on students progress and continued areas of focus with parents and teachers as necessary
