Job Description

Amazons Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join the Optimal Sourcing Systems (OSS) ContinuousBuying and SCOT Unified Planning (SUP) team. The SUP platform is a critical component of Amazons inventory planning infrastructure enabling various Just-In-Time (JIT) and non-JIT buying programs across the company to leverage common components and services. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering creative solutions to solve complex problems at a large scale. As an SDE on our team you will play a key role in designing implementing and maintaining core SUP platform capabilities that drive mission-critical supply chain workflows.



Key job responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable components for the multi-tenant extensible Unified Planning framework
* Build and maintain generic business logic components that can be reused across multiple programs
* Implement orchestration systems for core inventory planning functions
* Create and optimize workflows for purchase order tracking consolidation and computation scheduling
* Collaborate with program owners to integrate various purchasing programs into the SUP platform
* Contribute to platform features supporting failure recovery data visualization and PO consolidation



- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
