Job Description:
This entry-level position requires some professional and technical skills while working under general supervision. The technician will assist with field data collection and laboratory sample processing for a large-scalelimnological survey assessing the water quality of Iowas lakes. The successful applicant should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess the ability to follow strict protocols. The successful applicant will receive on-the-job training to broaden their understanding of the projects supported by the laboratory. Strong attention to detail time management and problem-solving capability are essential to success in this position. Additionally the successful candidate will possess the willingness to work in laboratory and field settings and have strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with boating or towing trailers is preferred.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
