Job Description

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. Youll learn more about this during the recruitment process.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Legal Affairs with managing the UDX Legal Operations function management of regulatory set-up and compliance for various domestic UDX business units and general contracts governance and compliance. This position will be responsible for managing the procurement of all necessary business licenses and permits for all UDX owned-and-operated domestic businesses and tracking the ongoing compliance with such obligations and overseeing the implementation training and compliance with the companys document retention policy. This individual will also have primary administrative responsibility for UDXs knowledge management and new Contract Lifecycle systems and training related thereto.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Legal Affairs manages the UDX Legal Operations team and function which is responsible for obtaining various regulatory and other licenses as each new domestic UDX business comes online and maintaining/renewing said licenses throughout the operation.
  • Manages the for the Companys Contract Lifecycle systems. Assists in maintaining and supporting the contract request and contract drafting systems and associated data archives. Coordinates with contract administration teams regarding contract form usage guidelines and facilitates optimal and consistent usage across legal teams. Troubleshoots system inquiries from the Legal team.
  • Maintains UDX data retention schedules and trains business teams on adherence and updates to their applicable schedules.
  • Oversees the training of client groups on contract lifecycle matters including training related to the UDX contract request system and contract drafting system and compliance matters such as when and how to obtain business licenses initiate trademark search requests etc. Liaises with clients as needed to resolve system issues ensure contract obligations are fulfilled and to troubleshoot payment issues and other compliance matters.
  • Supervises Administrator and Coordinator maintaining UDX legal knowledge management system including responsibility for coordinating updates to the UDX legal handbook Sharepoint and NBCU Atlas systems. Maintains UDX data retention schedules and coordinates updates with client groups. Provides special tasks/projects and/or other duties as assigned including contract drafting.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years experience with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Access Databases.
  • Legal contracts administration and/or legal administrative experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
