Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Assistant Logistics Manager for our Mumbai Suburban location. This full-time position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in logistics planning and transportation coordination. The ideal candidate will support the optimization of routes manage vendor relations and ensure efficient order fulfillment from first-mile delivery to last-mile delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in transportation coordination to manage logistic operations smoothly and efficiently with the aim of ensuring timely deliveries.
- Proven experience in logistics planning to develop strategies that optimize delivery schedules and processes for increased efficiency.
- Ability to execute route optimization for cost-effective and timely delivery ensuring minimal delays along the logistics chain.
- Strong vendor management skills to maintain productive relationships and negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.
- Competency in order fulfillment processes ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Comprehensive understanding of first-mile to last-mile delivery with a focus on minimizing bottlenecks and enhancing supply chain effectiveness.
- Proficiency in logistics documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues within logistics operations and implement effective solutions to resolve them.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize overall supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee and coordinate transportation activities ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Analyze logistics data and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure that supply chain activities align with company standards and expectations.
- Manage order fulfillment processes to meet or exceed customer expectations for delivery timelines and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and standards across all logistics activities and documentation.
- Lead route optimization efforts to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Provide support in the troubleshooting of logistics issues and offer solutions to mitigate future occurrences.
