We are seeking applications for a Catering Assistant to join our Burwood Catering team on a casual basis.
Working as a Catering Assistant you will be primarily responsible for assisting the Chefs in the day to day running of the kitchen preparing and serving food to patients visitors and caregivers and general cleaning & ordering of food/stick on a weekly basis.
Applicants must be available to work am & pm shifts Monday to Sunday.
The Position
To help prepare food and serve meals for patients visitors and staff.
Maintains work practice according to hospital policies procedures and standards.
Participates in Departmental Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement projects
Demonstrates safe food practices as per HACCP guidelines.
Demonstrates ability to prioritise situations as they occur in the course of the shift.
Manages own workload and complete agreed upon duty statement for that area/section by the completion of each shift.
You will have an understanding of the NSW Health & Food Safety requirements experience in food preparation and excellent communication & customer service skills.
Successful applicants will be well-presented and meet all hygiene requirements particularly with regards to infection control principles.

Salary: $33.73 (Inclusive of 25% loading) plus 12% Superannuation
Casual position
