Job Description
Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients including monitoring fetal and maternal status
- Administer medications and manage epidurals or other pain control options
- Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal deliveries C-sections and other obstetric procedures
- Perform ongoing patient assessments document appropriately and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on labor delivery and newborn care
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies standards and evidence-based practices
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Provide postpartum care and breastfeeding support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional competencies
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
