Job Description
Local Radiology/X-Ray Tech
Location: York PA 17408
Duration: 12 week
Shift: Variable shift
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1840
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations in compliance with physician orders and department protocols
- Operate radiographic equipment and related technology efficiently and safely
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Position patients properly to obtain optimal images
- Ensure images are of diagnostic quality and submit studies for physician interpretation
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and document completed procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists nurses and other healthcare team members
- Assist with maintaining and calibrating equipment as required
- Adapt to variable shifts including potential weekends evenings or holidays
- Must have at least 2 years of verifiable experience in radiology/X-ray technology
- Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Pennsylvania state licensure (if applicable)
- Proficient with radiographic equipment PACS systems and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
