Job Title: OT Staff

Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery and other medical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment to promote patient safety.
- Help the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling and patient check-ins.
- Support post-operative care and instruction to patients.
- Assist in inventory management of surgical supplies.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Handle and process medical records and patient information responsibly.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety procedures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the operating room.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare is a plus.
- Certification as an Operating Room Technician or similar.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or surgical setting preferred.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using healthcare software and technology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to patient care.
- Physical stamina to assist in patient transport and lifting.
- Willingness to stay updated on best practices in the field.
- Positive attitude and a passion for helping others.
