Job Description
JobSure is seeking an experienced Digger Operator to join a reputable company working on a large-scale commercial project in Auckland and Waikato. This is a role with an immediate start and opportunities for long-term work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators typically ranging from 5 to 10 tonnes for earthworks and demolition tasks
- Prepare and position plant for operation selecting and fitting attachments such as buckets winches and rock breakers
- Perform excavation breaking drilling levelling compacting and moving of earth rock rubble soil and other materials
- Monitor plant operation adjusting controls to regulate speed pressure and flow while ensuring safety of team members
- Work accurately from site drawings markers and instructions
- Conduct routine servicing lubrication cleaning refuelling and minor maintenance of equipment
- Assist with general construction labouring duties as needed
- Follow all site safety procedures and maintain clear communication with supervisors and team
Requirements
What We re Looking For:
- Full Class 1 driver s licence with WTR endorsement
- Minimum 1 years of civil digger operating experience on 5 to 10 tonne machinery
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Strong safety focus and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Good communication skills and reliability
