Logistic Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to oversee the efficient and timely dispatch of goods from multiple warehouses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with transporters tracking shipments and ensuring smooth collaboration with warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Dispatch Coordination: Contact transporters share dispatch details and monitor truck arrivals and departures at various warehouses.
- Warehouse Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure goods are ready for dispatch monitor loading status and oversee final dispatch.
- Portal Updates & Document Handling: Enter dispatch data and ALR details accurately into internal software or spreadsheets.
- Live Shipment Tracking & Escalation: Monitor ongoing shipments coordinate with transporter teams for timely deliveries and escalate any delays or service gaps.
- Follow-up Reminders and Record Keeping: Maintain clear records of all dispatches and ensure timelines are tracked and met without reminders from internal teams.
- (For Senior Role) Implement simple systems to track delivery performance assist in designing or improving dispatch trackers and work closely with the operations team to optimize delivery timelines and cost performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience of minimum 1year in logistic dispatch or back- end coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using excel google sheet high data entry speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- (For Senior Role) Additional experience in implementing delivery performance systems and optimizing delivery timelines.
Proven experience of minimum 7 years as a State Head or retail head role in the retail industry. In-depth understanding of the electronics retail market in West Bengal. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen. Good knowledge of P&L management and business development. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or relevant field; Master s degree preferred.
