Audit & Accounts Senior Boutique Accountancy Practice Central London
Location: Central London
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:00pm
Salary: Competitive London weighting Discretionary Bonus



Overview
A growing and ambitious boutique accountancy and advisory firm in Central London is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make an impact within a practice that values initiative progression and client-first service.



The Opportunity
This position sits within the firm s Accounts and Audit department and plays a key role in delivering high-quality services to a varied portfolio of clients. The split of responsibilities is approximately 70% audit / 30% accounts.

Reporting to a Manager or directly to a Partner the successful candidate will either lead smaller audits independently or manage a small team on larger assignments. Client exposure includes regulated entities and sectors such as financial services property investment retail construction commodities charities fintech academies solicitors and more.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the audit schedule and oversee assignments from planning to completion

  • Process audit journals and prepare statutory accounts (FRS 102 & FRS 105 knowledge advantageous)

  • Prepare corporation tax returns and capital allowance computations

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff reviewing their work as required

  • Handle occasional ad hoc projects such as cash flow forecasts and due diligence assignments

  • Act as a key point of contact for client communication and liaison



Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / ICAS / SAICA or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a UK accountancy practice

  • Strong audit background and up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

  • Good working knowledge of corporation tax with exposure to VAT and payroll taxes being beneficial

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing roles

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

  • Familiarity with FCA/SRA/Charities audits and consolidated accounts preferred

  • Proficient in Excel and ideally experienced with IRIS and/or HAT methodology

  • Capable of working to tight deadlines and handling multiple priorities
