Position: Domiciliary Care Assistant - Sponsorship Available

BOURNEMOUTH and POOLE (Dorset)

Salary: 25000 PER YEAR

Hours: 7am to 2pm and/or 2pm to 10pm alternate weekends required


Criteria to be met:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to your own car
  • At least 1 years healthcare experience within the UK
  • Have a passion for domiciliary care
  • Female
  • Prepared to re-locate if applicable

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Personal Care Assisting clients with washing dressing toileting and grooming while maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Medication Support Administering or prompting medication as per care plans.
  • Companionship & Emotional Support Engaging with clients reducing loneliness and providing reassurance.
  • Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance Preparing nutritious meals and helping clients eat if required.
  • Mobility Assistance Supporting clients with moving around safely including hoisting and repositioning if necessary.
  • Household Tasks Helping with light housekeeping laundry and shopping to maintain a comfortable home environment.
  • Running Errands Assisting with shopping prescription collection or attending medical appointments.
  • Monitoring & Reporting Observing changes in health and well-being and reporting concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
  • Promoting Independence Encouraging clients to do as much as they can for themselves while offering appropriate support.
  • Building Relationships Developing a trusting relationship with clients and their families ensuring a person-centred approach to care.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Full right to work or displaced reference number - Essential
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle - Essential
  • 1 year homecare experience required full training provided.
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • A strong sense of duty of care and commitment to clients well-being.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to engage with clients and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability patience and a positive attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to individual care needs.
