Job Description
As a Town Planner you will work closely with both private and government clients to manage planning projects conduct research and assessments and support the development and coordination of proposals that shape vibrant well-planned communities.
Job Overview
Employment type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift 8:00am 5:00pm Weekends Off
Work setup: Permanent Work-from-Home
Your Daily Tasks
- Work with private and government sector clients on a wide range of projects
- Conduct planning investigations and due diligence assessments
- Perform planning research and contribute to scheme amendments (regional and local)
- Assist with local structure planning and subdivision
- Support development and project coordination and implementation
- Prepare and lodge planning applications and development proposals
- Draft planning reports briefs submissions and recommendations for council meetings
- Collaborate with architects engineers surveyors and other stakeholders
- Stay up to date with planning policy changes court decisions and industry trends
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline with at least 1 year of experience working within Australia
- Strong knowledge of the WA planning framework with the ability to interpret and communicate plans policies guidelines schemes and design outcomes
- High-level research analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in project coordination and process management
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with high-level stakeholders
- A team-oriented work ethic strong customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously with accuracy and efficiency
