Job Description

We are urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Companion for a short-term assignment in Basingstoke supporting a patient who has recently been very unwell.

Key Details:

  • Duration: Approx. 2 weeks
  • Schedule: Full-time day or night shift available.
  • Location: On-site in Basingstoke (hospital setting)
  • Role Type: Non-medical casual observer/support role

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a calm friendly presence for the patient like a friend or family member
  • Spend the day at the hospital providing company and keeping a casual eye on the patient s condition and care
  • Light monitoring (non-clinical) taking note of general hospital activity

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possibly retired or with flexible availability
  • Kind patient and observant
  • Comfortable in a hospital environment
  • Discreet and respectful of the medical team

This is an immediate need candidates should be available to start within days.

Job Type: Fixed-term contract

Contract length: 2 weeks

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift

Work days:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
