Job Description
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Companion for a short-term assignment in Basingstoke supporting a patient who has recently been very unwell.
Key Details:
- Duration: Approx. 2 weeks
- Schedule: Full-time day or night shift available.
- Location: On-site in Basingstoke (hospital setting)
- Role Type: Non-medical casual observer/support role
Responsibilities:
- Act as a calm friendly presence for the patient like a friend or family member
- Spend the day at the hospital providing company and keeping a casual eye on the patient s condition and care
- Light monitoring (non-clinical) taking note of general hospital activity
Ideal Candidate:
- Possibly retired or with flexible availability
- Kind patient and observant
- Comfortable in a hospital environment
- Discreet and respectful of the medical team
This is an immediate need candidates should be available to start within days.
Job Type: Fixed-term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
Work days:
- Monday to Friday
