Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market data to identify industry and consumer trends leveraging insights to drive category growth.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers to optimize product offerings.
- Develop annual budgets and sales targets for each category ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.
- Implement business plans to achieve strategic goals overseeing pricing strategies and margin maintenance.
- Monitor and optimize category performance implementing exit strategies for underperforming products.
- Build strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and ensure quality service delivery.
- Manage inventory levels and product availability to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities.
- Strategically position product categories to enhance visibility and market share.
- Conduct competitive analysis to monitor pricing trends and market positioning.
- Collaborate closely with buyers and merchandisers to expand and diversify product categories.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Buyer or Category Manager in the FMCG sector.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial analysis and budget management.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage complexity make data-driven decisions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
