JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A COMMERCIAL INSURANCE BROKER ASSISTANT
Your Responsibilities as a Commercial Insurance Broker Assistant would be:
Assist brokers in preparing and processing new business renewals and endorsements for commercial insurance policies.
Liaise with underwriters and insurers for quotes binders and policy documentation.
Enter and maintain client and policy data using systems such as Insight WinBEAT or Sunrise Exchange.
Review policy schedules and documents for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare Certificates of Currency client summaries and reports.
Support claims lodgment and follow-up on behalf of clients.
Ensure timely communication with clients insurers and internal teams via email or phone.
Maintain compliance with Australian insurance regulations and internal processes.
Perform administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications as a Commercial Insurance Broker Assistant:
At least 3 years of insurance support experience preferably in a BPO or Australian insurance market.
Knowledge of commercial insurance products such as public liability property and professional indemnity.
Familiarity with platforms like WinBEAT Insight or Sunrise is advantageous.
Strong English communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work Australian business hours.
Preferred: ANZIIF certification or relevant training.
Preferred: Experience supporting brokers in the Australian or New Zealand market.
