Senior Estimator Building Construction
Hamilton ON Full-Time In-Office

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced construction estimator looking to take the next step in your career We re working with a well-established and reputable construction firm based in Hamilton that specializes in building projects across the region. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team and lead the estimating function with precision and confidence.

About the Role
As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of building construction projects. You ll collaborate closely with project managers engineers and senior leadership to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans specifications and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Lead the estimating process from initial concept through to final submission.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Support project handover and ensure a smooth transition to the construction team.
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating practices.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in construction estimating preferably in ICI (Industrial Commercial Institutional) or residential mid-rise/high-rise sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and Ontario Building Code.
- Proficiency with estimating software
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time in-office in Hamilton.
