Job Description

Nurse PositionJob Title: School NurseLocation: Cheverus Catholic School Malden MAGrade Levels: Preschool through Grade 8Schedule: MondayFriday 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (School Days Only)Reports to: PrincipalPosition Summary:Cheverus Catholic School a vibrant Preschool through Grade 8 Catholic school in Malden MA is seeking a qualified and compassionate School Nurse. The nurse will provide direct care to students administer medications manage student health records and serve as a key communicator with parents and staff regarding student health Responsibilities:Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as neededAdminister prescribed medications in accordance with school and state protocolsMaintain and update student health records immunization documentation and care plansMonitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g. asthma diabetes allergies)Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health issues or incidentsAssist with EEC complianceCollaborate with school staff to support the health and wellness of the school communityFollow and implement public health guidelines and policiesPromote a healthy safe school environment and educate students on basic health practicesQualifications:Must be a currently licensed LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of MassachusettsCPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)Prior experience working with children or in a school setting is preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismCompensation:Commensurate with experience and qualifications
