Position:
At Techo-Bloc the Maintenance Supervisor is a key and essential member with the responsibility of overseeing our production plants. As a maintenance professional you are a champion of safety training and preventive corrective and continuous improvement maintenance interventions.
We are looking for a highly motivated team member with a strong work ethic and a go-getter self-starter attitude who is constantly looking to challenge the status quo and lead multiple projects that will help further Techo-Blocs drive to progress and innovate.
Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:
- Delegates work orders and instructions to maintenance staff.
- Prepare or stage parts and tools needed for morning maintenance projects.
- Validate inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Performs various preventative maintenance tasks and/or repairs to production machinery in an efficient and timely manner.
- Inspect troubleshoot repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors gear boxes drive chains sprockets sheaves pulleys rollers conveyor belts bearings and screws.
- Monitors down time reports for production machinery and schedules necessary repairs.
- Provides daily status reports to management regarding the completion of work orders.
- Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders valves solenoids and pumps.
- Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed.
- Ability to properly operate band saws torch drill presses grinders and other shop tools.
- Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues.
- Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IOs OLs contactors relays break resisters and various other electrical components.
- Familiar with troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives Siemen Lenze Allen Bradley AB.
- Familiar with interference fits and bearing heaters.
- Repair install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes forklift scissor lift etc.).
- Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
- Maintain a clean sanitary and safe work area.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Be available for on call support for the maintenance team. This is a 24/7 facility.
Qualifications :
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5 years experience working in Electromechanics Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
- Proficient Electrical skills
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs OLs contactors relays break resisters and various other electrical components.
- Read and comprehend schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with 480vAC 120vAC 24vDC and 4-20mA systems.
- Able to use multi-meter megger and other test equipment.
- Maintain install troubleshoot VFDs programmable sensors SCADA HMI and PLCs.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
- Proficient with use of power tools measuring devices lathe and/or milling machinery.
- Previous experience using bearing heaters interference fits and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts.
- Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.
Education and Experience:
- Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)
