Job Description

THIS OPPORTUNITY:

The purpose of this position is to assist a rail project owner in the management of its project through the environmental approval process and to support the Project Manager in managing the consultants that are responsible for quality and on-time delivery of environmental clearance documents.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the management of the regional consultant responsible for the delivery of the environmental clearance documents.
  • Assist in the development and management of scope schedule and budget for the delivery of the project section
  • Manage coordination between interdisciplinary teams
  • Support coordination with local jurisdictions stakeholders and regulatory agencies

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of rail project and transportation infrastructure project development and delivery federal and state contracting laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of various phases of NEPA and CEQA processes to achieve Record of Decision and Notice of Determination for major infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of the following is of added value: superfund sites environmental justice (disadvantaged communities) and water management/reclamation.
  • Bachelors Degree in environmental studies or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of experience in managing the delivery of environmental documents analyses and reports for project section approval on major infrastructure projects
  • Experience with major federal and state funded transportation projects familiar with transportation projects and disciplines.
